Suzanne Preston Blier. She has authored numerous award winning books and articles on African Art and Architecture as well as related fields. She earned her Ph. Blier was one of only three art historians along with Meyer Shapiro and Leo Steinberg to have two articles included. In she was honored with a Yoruba chieftaincy. In she was elected to the American Academy of Art and Sciences.

I am active in addressing local civic issues in Cambridge MA where I live. I both teach on related topics and helped to found the Harvard Square Neighborhood Association.
